About Red Oak Unfinished Solid Hardwood Flooring

3/4 in. Select Red Oak Unfinished Solid Hardwood Flooring 5 in. Wide

Bring style and warmth to your living room, family room, den, or bedroom with this unfinished red oak flooring. Its rich, red hue is accentuated by golden tones, subtle veining, and a variable visual texture. These nuanced planks catch the light, adding both depth and character to your living spaces.

This flooring will complement many styles, and that's before you add the stain or finish of your choosing. The planks' 5-inch width balances a modern aesthetic with classic looks. Your rugs, decorations, and interior furnishings will stand out on this gorgeous platform.

This flooring is suitable for installation on your ground floor or above. While some experienced DIYers might tackle this installation on their own, professional installation using nails, glue, or a combination of both is recommended for solid hardwood floors. Mix up the planks from multiple boxes before installation to showcase the natural variation and beauty of the hardwood. Over a wood subfloor, we recommend laying it over approved underlayment for improved sound and thermal properties. When laying over concrete, use a premium moisture mitigating adhesive. Not all floor finishes are the same, and each will have its own unique properties. Please follow your floor finish’s recommendations for ongoing maintenance. This could include but is not limited to, regular sweeping or vacuuming (with no beaterbar or stiff brush), plus a deeper clean with a neutral cleaner. Refinishing may be required as the years go by.

Remember that lighting makes all the difference! Your flooring, as a result, may look different in your home than it does online. Be sure to order free samples, then try them in your home at different points throughout the day to ensure you like the look!
