FAQ: Can Vinyl Flooring Be Painted or Stained?
Generally, we can't recommend painting your vinyl flooring.
Can Vinyl Flooring Be Painted or Stained?
In general, our answer would be no! Vinyl flooring doesn't accept paint or stains very well, and you may end up with peeling or bubbling, or other permanent damage to your vinyl flooring. Besides, a painted surface won't have the kid-proof and pet-proof properties of vinyl's upper wear layer, so it will show up any scuffs from foot traffic or the moving of furniture.
At LL Flooring we're proud to offer a wide selection of wood-look and stone-look vinyl flooring, all with such beautiful colors, patterns, and textures that you wouldn't want to hide them under paint. If it's a fresh look that you want, why not let our Picture It! Floor Visualizer help guide you to the right style for your space?
