AUGUST 2014 DONATIONS

Published on September 01, 2014

In August 2014 LL Flooring helped Lay it Forward with Special Spaces, Second Chance Animal Rescue, and The Ridge House!

Learn more about each of these organizations in this month’s Lay It Forward review:

Special Spaces is an organization in Lake Zurich, IL which creates dream bedrooms for children with life-threatening medical illnesses. These special spaces are meant to be a place of hope and inspiration for children to find peace and comfort while battling life-threatening illnesses. Flooring was donated as part of a makeover for a child’s bedroom. Here is Rob’s new room floored with Gunstock Oak Hardwood!

Second Chance Animal Rescue of Copiague, NY is a not-for-profit animal rescue created to help abandoned and abused animals. Second Chance helps animals who have been left on the streets, have been lost, or need medical help.

The organization received a 7mm cherry laminate for an area in the shelter!

The Ridge House is the only statewide organization which provides comprehensive re-entry services for former offenders in Nevada. Services are open to those who have the drive to become upstanding and respected members of the surrounding community.

Mill River Walnut Laminate was donated for a flooring project.

We’re also happy to announce LL Flooring Chairman & Founder Tom Sullivan partnered with the National Braille Press to co-sponsor the book “Stir It Up! Recipes and Techniques for Young Blind Cooks” which recently received an IBBY award! The International Board on Books for Young People with Disabilities (IBBY) promotes international understanding through children’s books and to give children everywhere the opportunity to have access to books with high literary and artistic standards.
