From local groups in Virginia to organizations across the country, LL Flooring supported these organizations as part of the Lay It Forward program in March 2015!

The USO Hampton Roads & Central VA  works to enhance the quality of life for countless active duty military members and their families with offerings that might not be affordable or available otherwise. The USO operates centers all over, and this location was founded in 1984. It creates a place where members of the military and their families can go for support and recreation. The USO of Hampton Roads & Central VA serves around 450,000 military members each year. The center received a donation for a flooring project!

The Corner Kingdom Project  – headquartered in Hudson, New Hampshire – provides unique & functional spaces for children with special needs or illnesses. Often these children rely on medical devices that can make a room feel cold and sterile. The Corner Kingdom Project re-designs rooms that provide functionality and organization for parents and a special, unique space for children. The group’s mission is to provide beautiful, functional rooms for children in need with a safe, comfortable place to sleep, play & live. The Corner Kingdom Project received a donation for a special space makeover!

Henderson Behavioral Health was established in 1953 in South Florida. HBH provides healthcare, housing and hope for over 30,000 people with behavioral health conditions each year. It’s one of the oldest, largest and most successful providers of recovery services for people with co-occurring disorders in Florida. HBH believes everyone contributes to society and should have the opportunity to live a life of value, self-respect, compassion and dignity. A donation was made for a flooring project at HBH. The Palmetto Palace provides patient-centered care in the hospital and after the transition home by supporting the needs of families caring for a loved one in medical crisis and to enhance the quality of life for individuals facing a life-threatening illness or chronic disease. The organization, located in South Carolina, assists families by alleviating financial stress through helping families absorb non-medical costs, such as transportation, lodging and meals. The Palmetto Palace received a flooring donation in March.

LL Flooring is a long-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity (HFH) groups across the country. In March, flooring donations were made to the Champaign  (Ohio), Fox Valley (Illinois) & Cumberland Valley (Pennsylvania) locations. HFH is a nonprofit ministry that builds with people in need. With more than 1,400 affiliates in the U.S. and more than 70 national organizations around the world, they have helped more than 1 million families – 5 million people – improve their living conditions since founding in 1976. Each of these local chapters received flooring for a home building project.

Redemption Song, Inc. utilizes musicians, the music industry and the passion of music as a tool that positively impacts children, families and communities battling poverty. The vision of the group is to combine community contribution with the influence and affluence of the music industry. Redemption Song has given over $31,000 to community families and partners in need. A flooring donation was made in March.
