Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
This nonprofit ministry works to eliminate poverty housing and make adequate housing a matter of conscience and action. The chapter was formed in 1991 by a group of concerned community members.
The first home was built in 1992 and, since then, the vision has expanded even further. In the first year alone, 88 families purchased simple, decent, affordable homes in the area with the help of thousands of volunteers.
The Champaign County chapter received Harvest Hickory Hardwood for a home in the area!
