Since 1987 this non-profit has granted the wishes of over 4,600 children through fundraising and donor support.
Make-a-Wish serves a unique role in helping strengthen and empower children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Wishes are driven by the interests & personality of each kid.
On August 8 the Chapter granted the wish of 15-year-old Leslie.
An animal lover with a fascination of the water & everything in it, Leslie was able to visit Florida to swim with Dixie the dolphin.
She also went snorkeling & saw a nurse shark up close. The teen called it “a chance of a lifetime” and is now considering a degree in Marine Biology.
