Wood-Look Tile

If you're dreaming of the natural warmth of hardwood floors but concerned about waterproofing and durability, then wood-look tiles could be the answer. Porcelain tiles are long-lasting, scratch-resistant, and stain-resistant, for peace of mind if you have pets or children running around. When installed correctly, they're also waterproof, which makes them ideal for areas subject to high humidity or contact with water. Mudrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and bathrooms can all be elevated by the addition of wood-look tile—on walls as well as on floors. Porcelain is resistant to frost damage too, so can also be used in unheated areas such as porches, entryways, or even your outdoor patio.

A Color to Suit Every Style

From light-colored oak-effect to dramatic Brazilian pecan and distressed-style weathered barn wood, we have a wide assortment of colors and finishes for you to choose from. The rich look of Brazilian ebony in dark chocolate brown will perfectly offset light-colored walls or countertops, while tiles with a rich medium oak appearance would make any space feel cozy.

Prepping Your Surface

Porcelain tiles are strong, but if the surface they're installed on is unstable, there's a risk of them shifting or cracking over time. Tiles are best installed over a properly prepared surface which may require underlayment or backer. This will help create a flat surface below your tiles. For a true hardwood look, stagger the planks as you lay them.

We recommend our lippage tool for large format tiles. You'll find a complete range of underlayment, backer boards, grout, and other accessories and floor-prep you might need for your installation project at LL Flooring.

Wood-effect tiles bring the classic look of hardwood to areas of your home where it might otherwise have not been practical. Explore the variety of options available at LL Flooring to find the wood-look porcelain tile that's best for your project.
